About guitar feathers

 



A guitar feather (called scientific and plectrum, guitar pick in English) is a small enhancement, tear-shaped (or an isosceles triangle with rounded edges, if you prefer less romantic version), used to play the instruments string. Plectrum word has its roots in an ancient Greek verb - plesso - which means "to strike, the sting of the slap. "

In modern music, the plume has become common use, mainly because the metal cords tend to cause pain and toceasca finger nail tips, but also because it gives a fuller sound, more aggressive. Some guitarists choose to use up, alternating with bites of the fingers of his right hand - this technique is called "hybrid picking".

So is a small accessory, cheap (prices start from about 1 EUR) but useful for a guitarist.

How to use the feather !!!
